The effective date of exemption is February 19, 2009, so all donations as of this date are retroactively tax-exempt—this is good news for all of our supporters and Founding Membership holders who have helped to keep us going with their generous contributions.
We recently released a golden eagle named “Samak” and still have another (“Crash”) to nurse back to health for release very soon. We are caring for approximately 200 birds right now from hummingbird youngsters, pelicans, a peregrine falcon just to name a few as well as our celebrity golden eagle, Crash. It is that time of year where we have to get able-bodied birds out before the weather changes to prevent keeping them over the winter unnecessarily. Not only is it good for the birds, it gives our volunteers and DaLyn, our Wildlife Specialist, a much deserved break and allows us to concentrate on getting our education department up and running—we have several non-releasable birds to transfer and/or train to become education birds for facilities around the country. You’ve heard of “Spring Cleaning” well in the bird rehab business we call it “Winter Cleaning” and we’ve got lots of that to do also!
Now more than ever we need your support. WRC receives no funding from state or federal government and can only survive and provide our services through the thoughtful and generous donations of caring people like you. Please consider giving a tax-exempt donation today by visiting our “Donate” page at www.wrcnu.org/pages/donate or mailing a check to our mailing address at:

The Wildlife Rehabilitation Center of Northern Utah hopes you consider our mission a worthy cause. All donations are much needed, greatly appreciated and now they are 100% tax deductible.
